A true vintage brush, it looks like a good candidate for a restoration project, though it might serve you well as it is.

Of course fuller brush was a very well known brush company whose salesmen went door to door selling their wares. I don't know if they still exist. They sold good quality mdse. I would expect the brush to be quality too. If the handle is one piece as opposed to two pieces glued together you should be able to use it with a new knot.

Hoping to try it as is for now....first brush....no to find everything else! i want to learn to lather first while shaving with carts, then try and find a blade and strop. There was also an old swedish straight there, John something I believe, with horn scales....the blade was decent looking, but the scales were junked up....didn't think it a wise choice for a first razor

I've seen a ton of those fullers. Remove the knot, sand it up and buff and it will look very nice with a new TGN knot.

looks like it could be badger. Are the bristles nice and soft? If not, after cleaning, +1 on giving it another scalp.
