    Default First and second trys

???? how do I get the pics (spaced out IN the message?)

Good morning gents. Following is my (lame)attempt at making a couple of brushes by hand. Thinking I'm gonna scrap #2 and try again after christmas(hoping Santa comes through with a lathe and tools).

    My work area.

The highly coveted bEdger hair knot.

#1 in bocote, 4 layers of high gloss tung oil(not very glossy).

#2 in jobillo, had a very different vision for its shape(ended up looking just like #1)

That looks really good. Have you lathered with it yet?

Thank you. Yes, it is a LOT stiffer than I was expecting for a badger but I like it. Do they make metric drill bits(haven't looked futher than my local hardware) used a 3/4 wood bit to bore the hole(20mm knot).

They make them. A SAE bit should work just as good. It will be a hair bigger but not enough to notice.
