Default Vulfix 404 Grosvenor boar & badger mix

My Vulfix 404 arrived in the mail today from Bullgoose Shaving. I whipped up lather about 3x to get it going and then used it for a shave. Excellent soap brush! I like both badger and boar so this mixed bristle brush sounded like a good fit for me. It is! This may become my new favorite. Tomorrow I'll try it w/ Palmolive shave cream and see how that goes. Followed up w/ Ogallala Bay Rum w/ sage & cedar which arrived w/ the brush. Very nice, but hard for me to justify the expense, as I usually just use plain old witch hazel. Maybe save it for dates out w/ the wife!

I have one too and I have been softening for the last 11 days and I shaved with it yesterdayhat a great brush for its price!Works great with creams and soaps and its perfect for facelathering.I dont know how much badger hair has on it (I think that less than 15%) but its not scratchy at all and gives you a nice massage while youre building up the lather on the face.
Great shaving brush and really well made!

Yes, I am really liking this Vulfix 404. Hasn't lost a hair. Scrubby the way I like it; but not scratchy. A great face lathering brush. I like it w/ both soap and cream. A very solid feel to it. I am very pleased!

I recently bought a Vulfix Grosvenor 404, and I tried it for the first time yesterday. It smelled reassuringly of something just picked up from the taxidermist, or fly-tying materials. As expected, it doesn't lather as well as my badger brush, but is firmer on the face, which is what I was after.

I know Omega sell a little mixed brush. Been thinking about it to try but its so small. Id rather have a bit bigger.
