Thanked: 4Simpson Size's
I've been looking everywhere but can't seem to find out where to find a listing of Knot size's and loft for Simpson brush's. Can someone please help. I did find the spec's for the Chubby 2 and it seems about right, but I'd like to know this info for all their brush's. I need to add a couple of Simpson's to my wish list, so I know how much I need to save. Thank You.

Try Superior Shave:
Simpsons Shaving Brushes
He gives a pretty nice breakdown (with photos) of each brush.

+1 to what Frank says about superior shave, they have it all written down there. Also the Pj3 that i have has a knot of 25 and is IMO the perfect size, so i think the chubby 2 would be pretty good as well.

Along a similar note, is the hair used for the Simpson Chubby Super Badger brushes the same as the hair used for the "Finest Badger Silvertip" Thater brushes? I didn't think this question warranted a new thread.

The hair is probably different. The Thater is regular silvertip but probably a more select grade since it has no floppyness to it. The Simpson Super used to be their top of the line two band but the current crop of 2 band seems to be inferior to the old. You probably have to compare the two side by side. I have a Thater Silvertip and I have an older Simpson Chubby 3 in super and the hair is very different but like I said the new 2 band is a whole different animal.
