I have a Tweezerman and it's my least favorite brush. I would recommend an Omega boar brush.
$13.50 = Tweezerman
$14.95 = Omega Professional Boar Hair Shaving Brush
The Omega is now one of my favorite brushes.

The tweezerman was the first brush I started out with and it was a great brush, but now there seems to be some really amazing brushes for about the same price of the tweezerman , and IMO it blows the TM out of the water. Frank shave brushes( ebay " frank shave brushes" and look at Iantangs store) is about 18 bucks for the 2 band finest, which has amazing backbone, soft white tips and even comes with a stand, go with that one instead if u can

i agree.. if you are simply trying to save some money and start out cheap.. get a frank brush or an inexpensive boar..
i own a $30 pure badger made by vulfix.. it's a fine brush and works lovely.. however.. if i had known i could get a 2 band silvertip for the same price.. i obviously would have went with the 2 band

Thanked: 0I just got a tweezerman for a travel brush, and was initially impressed by the feel of the brush, but when I shampooed it, it gave off a nauseating odor. Don't know if they pulled the hair from the wrong end of the badger, or something deliberatly put on it, but it smelled so bad I had to move it to the garage to dry.

Thanked: 0Agreed, most of my other brushes had a wet animal smell when new, but this one has a very different kind of stench, in fact my wife commented on it from the bedroom. When wet, it smells likes something I really don't want to rub around on my face. I'll give it a couple more washes & see if it gets better before I send it to the dumpster.
