great video thanks for sharing, i love that brush, i think i have the same knot in mine but i have a shorter rosewood handle. i really want to make one with a longer handle now.
"enough lather for at least four passes" yea on four people! that was ALOT of lather and made real quickly, i love mama bear soap

Nice video! I saw some badger knots on RupRazor and wondered where I need to start looking as to how to make the handle...I didn't have to go far.
What kind of glue do you use to glue it in. It looked like you had the stuff on your table for a two part epoxy?

Nope I had no glue. I never made a brush myself, so I cant comment on what glue to use. But there are are threads on brushmaking here, I suggest you look into these. Originally Posted by kyle485

Im glad you guys liked the video.
Thx for the criticism, I see too, that the light (and maybe the angle on the shot) could have been better.
But I just have to know: Whats so funny about "thats a fine lather"
??? Please tell me
...
It was the way you said it coupled with the amount of lather you had generated. Seemed like a bit of an understatement.

So the glycerin you use, does that aid in the amount of lather? or is it that you have a gigantic brush? I really only use a shave soap(but its in a tube, feels more like cream) a dish, and water. I never seem to run out and it is adequate for shaving, but you video makes me feel rather incompetent and wondering if I should be working harder for a lather.
I love how you use the water in the soap.
I have a small puck of olive oil soap that I i use more as a preshave, but I always leave a good bit of it in the brush before I make my lather. I love the idea of using water left over from the soap as the water for my lather.
Do you find that a textured mug(with grit to it) works better than a smooth surface, or will the grit destroy the brush?
