    Default Brush Restore

So I bought some brushes on ebay.

All the handles were in good shape minus the painted one.

So I decided to cut all the knots drill them out... then used a dremel to fully clean them and get the size to an even 20MM

I had already at this point glued in the one on the left. and sanding the one in the middle.

I'm considering dip painting it the same two tone yellow and blue(faded to greenish.)

I bought from Tony at the Golden Nib for my new knots... I'll post more pictures once I finish them up...

But what do you think I should do to the paint job?

    Oh almost forgot.....

Which knot do you think I should put into the Ever Ready

    Or

When I bought the knots I had intended to use the two tone finest badger over the silver tip... but not sure after looking at it.

Good looking finds. I like the two-tone because it sort of matches the handle (both have lighter color on top and darker on bottom). Just my .02.

ok i just epoxied it in.

I just found some great epoxy.... its a clay seems to work out great, When I drilled out the Ever ready it was almost hollow so it was easy to fill and really stick in. Nice because if some spills out its easy to trim over a liquid which just sticks in the brush and looks like poop.

has anyone dip painted on of these before?

I'm planning on painting the yellow first(whole thing) then getting a blue and dip painting just the finger hold part.

Or should i get more creative?

I like the old painted look so the last brush i re did i dip painted it with poly. About 10 coats worth. I dont have a picture of the brush by itsself but you can kind of get an idea
