Default The perfect brush for me, with help from you

Ok so I've had a couple of brushes and currently use a Simpson 2band chubby in super..........i find the knot of the chubby is too dense and the handle a bit uncomfortable.

My favourite brush is my cheap travel brush that has a high loft, is in super and is very floppy! (However I don't want to use my travel brush on a daily basis)

Im looking for a top brush in super that has a nice high loft and is not too dense so is quite floppy! Not too worried about the cost.

    thanks in advance!

I have a Dovo Silvertip with Micarta handle that fits that description pretty well. It was my first silvertip purchase, and though I prefer a denser knot with lower loft, I still go back to it on occassion. It has a nice long handle (especially compared to a chubby) and is the most comfortable brush I have when it comes to lathering in my deep scuttle.

Go uncut, handmade Silvertip, but remember that the quality of these hairs has a limited loft. The very best tend to have a moderate loft and density, because the badger hairs only grow so long around the neck area from where they are harvested. My German made Dovo silvertip is a prime example of this optimal compromise, and is among my favorite brushes. Most of the top brush manufacturers produce quality silvertip models. One last point, I prefer a pointed, rather than rounded, loft because it gives me better control around my nose. Good luck.

Well, if you like floppy then check out Vulfix. Their Silvertips are quite floppy and they have a huge assortment of handle sizes to please anybody.

I hear Kent's are also quite floppy. I've never owned one so I can't say for sure but have read about them. I can vouch for the Vulfix though. They are a bit floppy.
