Thanked: 31$4.00 Scuttle Magic
Just found a great inexpensive (scuttle). A self watering flower pot ,about 4-5 inches across, from wal-mart for $4. Large bottom half fill with hot water then place top pot in. Best part is the unglazed bottom portion of top pot keeps humidity up in lather so it doesnt dry out from the heat! Added bonus seems to be that the unglazed portion helps the lather (stick) to bowl for quiker lather build.

Darn. Wish my Walmart still carried those but they've gone the way of slotted plastic. I'm doing a flower pot for $7 at a ceramics store. It's going to be 3 weeks before I can pick it up but at least I can glaze all the surfaces.

Thanked: 31Would be nice to add some personalized designs into the glaze. Shaved/Lathered with it twice yesterday, and once Saterday. Never been able to make a decent lather with a glass or smooth ceramic mug. Hand worked better, but the rough texture on bottom bowl(from no glazethere) is awsome. Guess it don't take much to get me excited. But then again only been str8 for 4months, latherin with DE for 3 mo. before that.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to pick one up sometime this week.
Edit: Looks like Home Depot also sells a 6 inch or 8 inch version for less than $10 and they have a "Check Store Availability" thingy there. Just go to their site and search for "self watering" and you'll find them.Last edited by kasperitis; 05-10-2011 at 12:31 PM.
