Thanked: 21Put me down for the GN finest , 2-band. I have a couple and they excel with creams and soaps. I tried the silvertip but didn't think it compared favorably with the finest, for me.

It is suprising how few people here have a BAD! For me it truely depends on the soap/cream that is in use. I use a Best badger for my soaps, (sometimes fine badger) and a nice floppy long loft luxury best badger for creams, but you know sometimes things get a bit crazy and I mix them up also, just to keep it fresh and appreciate the performance. It must have some backbone and be luxurious though which means a bit of extra loft.

I've tried all the knots from TGN and for me the best one is the TGN 2-band Finest Fan. The Super Silvertip is right behind, followed by the silvertip Grade A.

I like Black Badger, followed by Silvertip and Super Badger. Black badger has lots of backbone and is very exfoliating.

Pure, the only type of badger I've tried is what I prefer.

I found an old rubberset aluminum handled shaving brush in an antique shop. I wanted to put a badger knot in it ( I thought the black badger would have looked nice, but the largest was a 24mm) I asked Tony over at TGN to reccommend one. I wound up with a 26mm finest in a bulb shape, pretty good all around face/bowl lather brush.

I only have two brushes. One is a Vulfix super badger, and the other is a Vulfix boar brush. I use the badger brush most of the time, but I like to use the boar brush a couple times a month.
