    I made lot of brushes with TGN knots and I just can say that knots set in 45-max. 50 mm loft has excellent backbone.
    If you do not want TGN knot I can reccomend Rooney 1/1 Super Badger which I use exclusively with soaps and face lathering.

    i piut this ever-ready together with a woodcrafter $10knot,,and the brush was in a lot of razors off of ebay.its got a ton of back bone and is very genrous with the lather;
