Ok, color me stupid, but...
What the heck does two band mean? I searched the forums and wiki and seemed to come up dry as to what it actually means.
Thanks in advance...hopefully I gave some folks a good morning laugh

Hehe, there are no stupid questions man, only those never asked
Here's a thread that deals with exactly the same question - I think you'll find your answers in there.
Take care.

There is a technical explanation and a popular one. The technical one is a brush with two bands of color-har har. Actually it means many things. It refers to older brushes that are not available anymore whose hair came from a limited parcel of hair only some badgers had during limited times of the year. This naturally had two color bands and had very specific physical characteristics vis a vis lathering and feel.
These days brushes are dyed to have two bands and there are inferior brushes with two color bands produced by badgers. (Global warming I guess).
It gets complicated. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

As long as we are talking about badgers, what I have always wondered is: Who shaves the badger to get its hair?
