Best painter & massage brush ?
I just ordered a Mühle Sophist Fusion and DE set with bowl and a Silvertip badger 23 mm brush but the lady from the shop claimed that Silvertip Badger brushes are the best for creating and applying lather - no contest.
What surprised me was that she said it wasn't the best brush for lather painting and massage of the lather into the skin.
Is the right or wrong here ?
She claimed the Fine Badger brush or one of the new Prime Synthetic brushes is better for lather painting and massage.
Is she full of it and just want an excuse for selling me two brushes or does she have a valid point here ?

I'm no authority on Muhle brushes, but I'd say she missed the mark with this one. However, I do have two Rooney brushes. One in two band super and the other in pure badger. There is a very noticeable difference between the two, the pure having a firm, but "scratchy' feel to it. the two band has a firm, but smooth feel to it, which I don't find scratchy at all.

A 23mm knot is a good size brush....
Silvertip is quality stuff too....
You will be a happy shaver....
Of interest I still use my $7 drug store boar brush.
It is now well broken in and there are days when it
is exactly what I want. Other days I grab my
big 28mm ultra deluxe paid a massive amount brush.
And IMO, if you have a great lather you can paint it
on with a pounded stick....
Your brush should make a great lather...

Thanked: 1936Just a sales pitch. I don't know of anyone who uses two brushes at the same time...one to build the lather and another to apply the lather.

Well, maybe if you were an octopus you would like to use multiple brushes at the same time but my view is a quality brush does it all no matter be it soap or cream or building or applying. I suspect the woman was thinking of women's makeup and all the different brushes the womenfolk use for different purposes.
