Thanked: 3I'm sure that I will. I've seen enough of your reviews to know you know your stuff! I also tend to think carefully about my purchases, especially where I'm out of my areas of knowledge, but once I commit I'm "all in" and don't regret or second-guess my choices. I have no doubts I'll love the Thater--and that it will be miles beyond my EJ Best Badger.
Thanks again for your advice.

As Jim states, "What I've found is I'm happiest with a Semogue boar brush. Smooth and stiff, great on soaps or creams, it really just works."
Exactly my feeling. The Semogue boar is an amazing instrument.

Same here. Semogue boar is my go to brush, great value, good to know I'm in good company.

Thanked: 0While a Thater is in my future, this has been the best all around brush I've used so far (I've used/owned Rooney Heritage, Shavemac, Simpson, Kent):

All my brushes have either been the cheap ones from wal mart, or knots from the golden nib that I put in homemade handles, so the group buy brush will be my first real brush in about 4 years of wet shaving, can't wait for it to arrive

Beautiful brushes Peter, I consider my Ivory Plisson to be the pinnacle of my collection too and hence the one (or two) to rule them all.
