    Dont worry about it. I have 20-100 brushes at any one time and never had any issues. My knot stock (I make brushes) lives in a large box in the garage. Never had any kind of critter interested in them. Just shake the water from the brush before you put it in the cabinet.

    I've never had a problem with my brushes in a cabinet. Just make sure they are dry before you put them up.

    I keep a large collection of brushes in a closed bookcase in front of the books behind the glass. Never noticed a problem or thought about taking any action to protect them. Until now! Hmmm.
