Those are beautiful brushes. However, ~$80 dollars for a boar brush is really high, especially considering that you can get the same quality of boar hair in the SOC boar brush for less than half the money required to purchase this brush. I am really starting to dislike the Limited Edition stuff.

I'm with you, Alt. Just give me quality products and let's get the job done. I can appreciate 'limited edition', but it's only shaving.
Granted...it's shaving the bad-ass way, but I don't need 'limited edition' to prove that.

Just placed my order for the size 2 badger (25 x 52 mm).

I have been very happy with the performance of my SOC (24 x 53 mm) and thought the size 1 with the shorter loft might feel a little too scritchy.

ben74, do let us know how that brush treates you. In my opinion, the Semogue 2011 Limited Edition badger brushes are priced much more fairly than the boar brushes.

I was thinking about getting a "premium" boar brush, but IMHO, this is a bit too premium for me. I think the Owner's Club is more in line, especially with the nice cherry wood handle. That said, if people want it and are willing to lay down the coin, more power to them. It is a very nice brush

I got this Semogue here for $30.00 shipped and it is a great little brush.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Hello, Jimmy,
That Semogue 620 boar brush is a good one. I think I wrote a review of it here for SRP. Recently I also bought the Semogue 830, the one with the red handle, at about $30 shipped from Lee's. Both are good brushes and reasonably priced. On the other hand, I'm sure some of the special edition Semogue boar brushes are quality, but I find them overpriced.
    Stay well.

Hey lately I've been impressed by how good the $10 Omega 10049 performs....

Semogue 620 is my new favorite brush. I still went ahead and ordered the 2011 LE Boar size 1. I think it has the same specs as the 620 with the premium bristle. It was too much money for a boar, but I love Semogue!
