Default Brush with screw on bottom?

When I was a little fella, my dad had a shaving brush. This brush was white and at the base of it, there was a black screw cap type bit. I don't remember there being a compartment big enough to hold much, as my dad only kept a quarter in it(which is about all it had room for), for whatever reason. Does anyone know of a brush like this or where I may be able to find one?

My guess is the handle was hollow because it was cheaper to make that way and they put the cap on it to seal the hole.

I'm not aware of any current production brushes made like that. You would probably have to search Eboy and antique shops to find something like that.
