Thanked: 375Brush I turned for my Bro.
I turned this for my brother, I was trying to keep this "green" because that's how he rolls, and I think I did for the most part. It's Bamboo with a 24mm horse hair knot, can't wait to ship it to him and see what he thinks.

Well done, it looks very nice. I didn't have time to search through the archives, but I do believe your picture is the very first on SRP to include a box of raisins as a prop.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

Thanked: 375I hope he is. Last year I visited him in Myrtle Beach where him and his wife live. I brought an extra DE with me and showed him how to use it and he liked it, but has yet to purchase a brush (no acquisition disorder like myself). Thanks, for the compliments! I have a boat load of Bamboo left to turn now time to go play on the lathe...
Oh, and the raisins.....I was hungry! Plus you gotta keep it interesting, I should have taken a pic with a rice cooker and Bamboo shoots

Thanked: 41That's awesome. I have a special fondness for using bamboo as we had a patch on the farm I grew up on. My grandfather, a poor immigrant farmer from Yugoslavia, used bamboo for all kinds of innovative and handy ways.
And as kids, bamboo made some of the best swords and other "toys" to beat each other. But, alas, I was the youngest of three boys..... so you know why I'm on serious meds!
