My only brush is a Rooney Silvertip that I got from Vintage Blades for $75. I use it on Mitchell's Wool Fat and Tabac and it works great!

My favorite badgers are my Simpsons Chubby 1 and my Berkeley.

Thanks TBS - looked and hard to find... Will keep an eye out!

IME a 2 band is usually stiffer with more backbone. For soaps I like a loft of 48 to 50 mm give or take.

The Simpson best used to be a bit softer than the Supers. At least the ones I've had were. Rooney is good too but my favorite nowadays is the 2 band Thaters.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks Jimmy! I'm now looking at the Thaters... Everyone seems to love them!
    Where's a good online source?

    Thanks everyone!
