Thread: Help pick badger brush for soaps

My only brush is a Rooney Silvertip that I got from Vintage Blades for $75. I use it on Mitchell's Wool Fat and Tabac and it works great!

My favorite badgers are my Simpsons Chubby 1 and my Berkeley.

IME a 2 band is usually stiffer with more backbone. For soaps I like a loft of 48 to 50 mm give or take.
The Simpson best used to be a bit softer than the Supers. At least the ones I've had were. Rooney is good too but my favorite nowadays is the 2 band Thaters.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
