    Default Beginner's brush arsenal

Presently my two favorites. Omega 49 and Vie Long horse hairName: PDR_0732.jpg

The Omega could be easier to lather and doesn't hold heat long but I love the big handle
and it scrubs nicely. The Vie Long stays warm like badger but has much better backbone.

Fluffy soft almost no backbone but it explodes MWF into copious quantities of lather.
Holds enough lather for 3 passes with leftovers and kept in a warm cup will be warm
    for the last pass.

The Silvertip to the right is an inexpensive ChinaBay product. It lathers well and holds
heat nicely and has more backbone than the Whipped Dog. Handle is more comfortable for me.

In fairness it will get better as it gets broken in. I have higher hopes for it than have been met.

I'm really going to have to try the horse hair one. I've been hearing good things about them. I only have two brushes and I only use one on a daily basis as the second is the first I picked up, overpriced and under delivered. That was before I knew what I liked as well.

I like it enough I ordered the premium a little softer and a little larger. Smells like horse when new which is better than the bristle brushes smell new.

Cool collection, and thanks for the descriptions. I've been using Vie Long and Omega brushes as well and really like them. I've found that even their lower-priced models perform really well after a thorough break-in period.
