Thread: Allergic to animal hair. Quality synthetic?

Seems my brother enjoys brush and lather, his only hangup is that he is allergic to animal hair and breaks out when using them. He uses creams, so is there a synthetic that is compatrable to a soft badger? He is the delicate sort.

You might check out the Omega Line and the Semogue also. I think AOS sells a line of synthetic too. I've never used one so I can't comment (except with an old nylon my dad had when I was a kid and it was terrible but that was over 50 years ago). I know they have improved markedly but I'm not sure you'll find something similar to a silvertip badger.

+1 on the Omega, I have one and it's my go to brush. It's sort of a cross between a Badger and Boar in feel
