Congratulations on your new brush. I have the same and love it. Although it initially saw some action in my DB 1.5, I find it is almost too dense for a scuttle and really shines when face lathering. Let us know how it works out!

Robert becker large/xl scuttles are really big. Should have plenty of room in that.

Depends on what you want in a scuttle. My fav, before I went to cold water shaving, was the Moss scuttle by Sara Bonneyman. It was designed by the owner of the 'Shave My Face' forum, Dr. Chris Moss. It is not designed to lather in. That is done in a separate bowl. The walls are close to the bristle so that minimal heat is lost from the hot water reservoir below. She makes two sizes in case you have a large brush. I have found the small to be fine for all of my brushes from large to small.
You didn't mention which 2 band chubby you ordered, 1, 2, or 3 ? That will make a difference in what you're looking for. I haven't tried any of the other scuttles that have come along since the Moss, so there are undoubtedly some great alternatives out there.

Hey Jimmy, just re read initial post and missed a bit out, its a chubby 2 in 3 band super. I'm hoping the 3 band will be a touch softer so will be scuttle friendly. Hope my swh will do a job!

IME the three bands are softer than the two bands. For me Simpson 2 bands are 'scritchy'. But I love that. You'll probably love the brush. You want soft with mucho backbone go Thater 2 band for the next one. My dream is to find a scritchy Thater but I don't think there is any such thing ?

Well for me the softer 3 band will be perfect! Unfortunately I think your right, I have never heard of a scratchy thater! I'll keep my eyes and ears open for you though!

Thetali,
Here are my suggestions:
If you face lather, choose the small Moss scuttle. If you lather bowl, try the Ansgar Schwarzweisskeramik sucttle.
I have the Moss scuttle for face lathering and the Schwarzweisskeramik basic size for bowl lathering. With soaps, I face lather, and with creams, I usually bowl lather.
Both scuttles are top of the line.

Thanked: 15Well: In my personal opinion I do have a Moss Scuttle in specific the Texan version one from Sara Bonniman. I have CHUBBY3 SB and I'm the kind of guy that put the puck of soap inside and for me (for years) has been work fine.
