    Question Boar issue

So I noticed that when I use my badgers they hold enough lather within the brush to get multiple passes. But with the boar, only the first pass is acceptable lather, and after that it becomes much too thin.

Is this an issue of the boar not being able to hold product or am I doing something wrong with it? it is well broken in, 20mm, UK cream boar from TGN.

I'd say you probably need to load a bit more. I don't have this issue with my boar brushes. Load more at the start and build more time on the face (like, 30-45 seconds more for each than you would normally do).

    TwistedOak,

In most cases, because of its density, the badger tends to trap more lather. The boar needs to be loaded more to keep up. I spend about a minute or so to load my boar brushes. Also, don't forget that you can reload your brush, if it needs it, for the subsequent passes.

with mine I soak the brush and puck of soap then I dont shake out the water of the brush, instead I pour the water off the puck into the brush and load the brush over the scuttle so that any lather and water that come down land in my scuttle. I scrape the brush off on the side of the scuttle and reload then I face lather and use whats in the scuttle to add more water to the bristles or bowl lather a 2nd and 3rd pass worth. It can be tricky with MWF, I end up with 6 passes worth of lather....puck still looks new though!
