Thanked: 1185I've been looking for an excuse to buy one of these for years now. At that price I may pick one up for my son as well.

i know its comparing badger to boar, but i wonder how people would compare the tweezerman to a cheap omega boar brush..
ive heard of knots falling out and lots of shedding on some tweezermans.

Thanked: 109My Tweezerman was good brush to start. It was completely different to my old Burma Shave brush. It is a bit of wet moppy without backbone and it did shed for the first dozen or so uses but it settled down to now and then.
What it did demonstrate to me was the how badger holds heat longer and as a generality profusely lathers with the slightest encouragement. That said my favorite brushes at the moment are both bristle. The Omega 0049 and the Semogue OC cherry. They won't stay warm long and the latter took a long time to break in but they are lather machines and do a good job with everything tried.
