Which brush do you think is better?
Has anyone tried using a the pure badger brushes from art of shaving? I'm looking to buy a new brush, nothing more than 60 bucks. I also saw an Edwin Jagger best badger brush. Would you recommend that over the AoS?

My suggestion is to go here: Straight Razor : Double Edge Razor : Shaving Products Supplies : Merkur Safety Razor : Badger Shaving Brush : Men's Grooming Products : VintageBladesllc.com , and get one of the Rooney pure badgers.

Thanked: 43I have a AOS Fine badger brush and it is very nice. A little expensive but quite nice. My second favorite so far.

I've seen aos brushes in store and while they are nice I don't see them as a great value.
IMO you will be better off getting a brush from one of the shaving websites.

I actually started off with a lil starter brush from AoS. It's a little coarse but it does its job. I'm relatively new to straight shaving and don't know the finer points between brushes yet. I see brushes that are pure badger going for 37 like the ones from ny shaving co and then there are the rooney ones. Is there a big difference between them?

With AOS you pay for their name. They are made by someone else so there is an extra premium there. I would go with one of the established names.
