The purpose of this thread is to gather some impressions concerning the new, imitation badger synthetic brushes.

My curiosity finally got the best of me. I purchased an Omega synthetic, imitation badger brush for ~$28 online. I really did not expect it to be much better than a boar brush, but I thought the synthetic fibers may travel better than my naturals.

My first bowl lather for lack of words was --- well !

Something about these soft-tipped, but firm fibers exploded my creams into an uberlather --- dare I say it --- better than any brush that I have ever used. It easily surpassed my best badger and boar brushes in this regard. I had a bowl full of towering peaks. However, the silvertip is still my pick for face lathering comfort.

I was wondering if there have been similar experiences with the new synthetics?
