Thread: Does This Look Any Good? Chinese Brush

I saw this whilst browsing for brushes on ebay UK. I thought it looked ok, but i am wary of buying a brush from China. OTOH, i know that is the source of the badger bristle so i've a slight feeling that there might be savings if one were to go to the source?

I don't think you would save that much on the brush. The listing doesn't list the grade of the bristle, the handle material is most likely plastic and the knot size is unknown as well. If I were you, I'd either go with Matt's hand-made quality or buy from one of your local manufacturers like Kent or EJ.

That site isn't working very well for me, but from browsing here http://www.cottonblossomcrafts.com/h...ving_brush.htm it looks like a faux ivory silvertip? At a pretty good price too.

Handle material does not concern me, bristle quality does!

I think at £14 i might take a punt on it. I have a vulfix that cost the same and it is a bit scratchy so i will be interested to compare the Delong to it.
