    This might be a crazy question but after steaming a brush in water to pull out the knot I notice that there was a stopper in it that has the number 21 is that the size I need to get again or can I get a 22mm Knot

    Why you lucky dog. When they made those brushes a select few came with a grand prize. They put those numbers in and you win that in thousands of dollars. All you have to do is take it to the brush manufacturer and claim your prize.

    Brush size is measured as the diameter of the hard, glue base. My last creation was a 22mm which measured slightly under at 21.5mm. They are approximate measurements.
