I use a Semogue 610 when I hit the road (or fly). The pharmacist lady at CVS gave me a large bottle for RX pills and the brush fix perfect in it. I drilled three holes on the lid for air circulation. I usually take a soap stick with me, although at times I pack a tub of cream. Either way, it's a fine combo.

Re: Travel brushes
I only bought a dedicated travel brush because I forgot my brush while I was traveling for work. Before that I went to the pharmacy with a brush and asked if they had anything to fit it. Cost me 30¢. Then I drilled a couple holes in it to help with drying.
It worked splendidly till I left it at home.

Travel brushes
I have the Vulfix travel in super badger. It's been working pretty well, just seems small at times. I use 26-30mm brushes at home so it makes sense why it seems that way.
As mentioned above, works great with tubes of cream, not so good with hard soaps. I usually pair with some Proraso or Speik in a tube.

Thanked: 3226Just bought a two pack of flip lid clear plastic round containers at the Dollar Store for, you guessed it, one buck. Drilled holes in the lid and one in the bottom of the container. My Vulfix 660 medium super badger is now a travel brush. Any brush is a travel brush so long as it is in a container for protection, how you get there is the only real difference.

Simpson "Major" Travel Brush Super Badger
Here is my input on the Simpson Travel Brush.
This first picture is for comparison. I was not provided with a knot size when I bought it. It is next to my 23mm TI super badger in black horn and my Ever-Ready C40 Boar.
These two pictures show it in its tavel configuration. Basically it is a open ended tube to store the brush. The knot screws in.
The last two show the badger post bloom. This is how much the brush bloomed after one use.
In my opinion even though it is a small knot, it did its job well. I used it just as I would my TI brush with the same puck of AoS Sandalwood. Lathered nicely and applied just as admirably. The thing is the not is a bit small but I don't really have a big face so there was little difference there.
When I used it I only used the knot piece (last picture). I mimicked its use fully constructed and with the knot alone and felt that the storage tube/handle to be too bulky for use.Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?
