The girl came over picked up one of the brushes and displayed it in her best “Vanna White” hand flourish, and said “Yes, and these brushes are made without hurting the animal.”
“Really?” I said, “and how exactly is that done?
“They hold it down and shave it.” She said. I burst into raucous laughter.
“We are talking about a viscous Badger? Pound for pound, one of the fiercest animals in the world.” I said

“Then how do you, think they do it?” She said
“They kill it and skin it. In China, where this knot probably came from they are considered a pest.” I said.
“Oh my god”, she said, as he tossed the brush back on the shelf as if it were hot.

My wife socked me in the shoulder and said “It’s time for us to go your, work here is done.”

Ah, to be young and so …
This made me smile. I think I saluted the badger farmer earlier for his efforts. I can only imagine what he looks like at dinner time after a hard day shaving badgers

I enjoyed reading this thread. I'm just getting into proper shaving and I'm enjoying the animal smell my new badger brush has. I don't have a great deal of time for animal rights people and am slightly ashamed to say I occasionally mess with them. A vegan girl was once telling me how cruel it is to drink milk because the calves need it. I told her that if you kill and eat the calf then the milk is going spare and then it's ok. She wasn't impressed. After watching a couple of episodes of whale wars I'm sorry to say I went to the supermarket and bought a pack of whale meat. Not endangered whale meat, just regular whale meat.

Thank You .. I now need to go shopping. Looking for that same kind of girl !!! If I tried to use those lines I would probably burst out laughing before I finished though.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Might have thrown in a "the baby badgers offer the softest of hair with excellent heat retention".
I think a reference to knots made from the fur of baby harp seals would have made her head explode.

I think she was way out of line.

I would have probably busted out with, "Honey Badger don't care! Honey Badger just grow it back!"

Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

You should not only do that, but also find that pic of harrywally and his ferret to show that one can also lather with the hair of live animals as well.

EDIT: and back to your question: as others have said you'll probably love the Maca Root cream. A drop of glycerin helps but even without that, you'll probably spend a bit of time cursing this &*^% cream for not lathering before it kind of goes FOOM! and you have a whole lather explosion. Good stuff.

    HARRYWALLY likes this.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I've just seen this post regarding the lather explosion.

I was making lather for the wife a couple of days ago and that was the situation. Suds around the outside but thin and bubbly then bang, latherific.

Aside from that I really do like the cream. Sad bit is, so does my wife.

I once tried to make lather from a live badger but ended up using all my styptic pencil.
