    I think it's size and handle differences really. The Thater brushes are quality pieces so you won't go wrong whichever you choose. The two bands tend to have more backbone while still being soft. However if you like soft and floppy these are not the brushes for you.

    Ok thanks! I'm not looking for super soft and floppy. I am looking for soft with backbone. As you are describing. Thanks!

    Hard to go wrong with Thater. I have one and it's super soft with enough backbone to get the job done. When in use, the tips feel like they turn to gel. Mine has a pointy end to the knot and is extremely dense. I think that's where it gets its backbone.
