My cheap tweezerman is starting to not produce lather as well due to so many bristles falling out. What would be a good brush in the mid price range. I'm willing to spend 60-80$. What do you guys suggest?

Edwin Jagger makes some great brushes in that price range. My 21mm silver tip w/ just the basic black plastic handle was about $80 w/shipping, and I love it.

There are more brushes in that range than you can shake a stick at. All the small time guys make em as does Vulfix and Rooney and Simpson and Thater. It's a matter of what you want, ie-size and grade.

Boy, that is a loaded question. Something like saying I need a new vehicle so recommend me one in the $20 to $30,000 range. It might be a little better if you could be a little more specific as to whether you bowl or face lather, preference in hair type and all the other stuff. Otherwise just pick one in your price range made by an established brush maker from a solid retailer and you should be good to go.

I mainly bowl lather. The Thater 4342 has caught my eye.

I use all of them. Haha. Why limit yourself?

Just trying to get a feel for the type of brush you need?

If you used nothing but hard soaps I would recommend an omega pro boar

Just creams a vulfix super badger

Soft soaps a vie long horse hair

For all three I like an omega 599 silver tip
