Thanked: 0TI brush
Hi all,
I'm planning on getting a good shaving brush. I use hard soaps, and I face lather. I've been planning to get a Simpson 2-band (or perhaps the Jubilee LE brush), but I keep eyeballing these TI brushes, on account of their magnificent handles.
Some reports claim they are floppy, but newer versions of the brushes are claimed to have 30% more hair. I haven't seen this smaller model anywhere else. Does anyone have any experience with them? How dense are they?
Thanks!

Of course TI doesn't make brushes. They are rebranded from someone else and those usually cost more. I haven't seen any of those but there are so many on the market these days I'd prefer to buy from the actual manufacturer.

Thanked: 3225Yea, I am of the same idea as TBS and prefer to buy from the manufacturer not a rebrand. I only have one 2 band badger and it is an SOC. What a different feel from the super silvertip Vulfix I have. The Vulfix is very soft and a bit floppy while the 2 band is not very floppy with nice soft tips. I'll let you know about the QEII jubilee brush when it comes in matbe next week.

I had one of the larger TI horn brushes. It was a very large knot and loft so by nature it was somewhat floppy but not bad. Very soft tips. I sold it because I found I just prefer shorter lofts. Real nice brush though. If I was asked to recommend a new brush it would be a Thater 2 band hands down. They are soft at the tips but have backbone that won't quit.
