    Default Quick qustion

My local target has a clearance on van der Hagen sets for 20 bucks, and brushes for only 8 bucks. Is this a good deal? What do their single brushes usually go for? Not the green ones, the more expensive black handle. I was thinking about buying them out and selling on eBay. Is this worth it?

Here in Idaho you can get the VDH set at Rite Aid for $15.

The luxury set? Not the one that has the green bowl and brush handle.

You are correct. The standard plain Jane set is $15.

It's a pretty basic brush so whichever you're talking about I doubt one is higher quality than the other. it's just cosmetic differences.

As far as it being worth it, to me if you're looking for a short term use brush and are ok with bottom of the barrel then it's worth it.

As i understand it, the Luxury set includes a badger brush that is decent for the price, while the other set includes a boar brush. The Boar brush in the cheaper set is, in my experience terrible. It is so bad that I frequently offer old brushes I'm no longer using, new Turkish #6s, etc to people who I notice posting that it is their only brush, because I hate VDH boar brushes that much!
