T&H Silvertip (Rooney)
I was wondering just how soft the tips are in comparison to like the Rooney Heritage tips or the BK4 tips or M&F tips or Shavemac silvertip?
Someone offered to trade me this brush for my BK8 and I am tempted. But i am really wanting soft tips. I have never fancied even the slightest scritch. I have a Rooney Heritage & M&F and I adore them, I like my shavemac silver tip also and my BK4. If someone could compare it to these it would put it into perspective for me.

I am not much for trading brushes, so I can't offer you an opinion there. Those Rooney super silvertips are lovely. So is the Shavemac. If you, however, want a silky feel from brush tips, I suggest a silvertip Thater. It's heaven.

Well that BK8 sold and I have some money burning a hole in my pocket.
I have a couple brushes on my mind I am trying to narrow it down.
I have to say that Rooney sort of confuses me when it comes to figuring out their 3 band brushes styles etc.... I am gonna go do some Rooney research. I know the SR 3824 is a stellar brush and I know that Thaters are soft brushes also. I wonder if the Rooney 3 bands are as soft as my Heritage Urn?

Thanked: 1Just bought 2 T&H Rooney style 1 brushes, one small and one medium. They are really FABULOUS buy for the money! Soft as all get-out and dense enough to have good backbone with no stritch, and they're lather beasts! Love the fan-shaped knots too. I've been on a 2 band binge but I'm now thinking of selling my other brushes and going only with these. I can say that they're luxurious and you won't be disappointed. But buy soon because when they run out, they won't be stocking Rooney any more.
