Default Muhle Black Fibre (synthetic) Horn handle

    My Muhle just arrived !

First washing with White vinegar and then some swirling with a soap for a "break-in" lets say

Dry and ready for the test
I will use it in face lathering soon.

Beautiful looking brush, thanks for sharing.
And let us know how the first shave with it goes.

    Cheers,
    Paul

I see more and more of these on here. What is the big draw to them?

I would imagine some folks don't like the idea of using badger or other animal products for a variety of reasons and then there is the price.

    Not exactly my friend
Synthetics for me are something between Boar-Horse and Badger
That's why i have some of them,is not the price or the "ecology"
They have some advantages but this Muhle is much different from my other Synthetics
I have some agony for the first shaving.

Har har, that's why I started my post with "I imagine". There are many reasons of course but the ones I mentioned are the reasons most go to synthetic.

I have no problems with using badger, boar or synthetic. A good brush is a good brush no matter what it's made out of. The synthetic Muhles are an excellent brush, IMO.

My first purchase on Synthetics was because i wanted a brush for a "fast" shaving
That means no time for bowl lathering or brush soaking and no much care for drying
After use of 5 of them i can say that i love them much than Boars and take care them as my Badgers.

Wow, that handle sure looks beautiful!
i would love to have it on at least one of my Frank Shaving custom brushes!
i am beginning to realize that my synthetics are becoming my favourite brushes!

I have had the white handled version of this brush for some months now and has become my go to brush of the many I have.

To me it is as good as any of my badgers and a real lather monster. I face lather and it holds enough for four passes easily.
