    Default Progress Vulfix 404, anyone?

I think the time's come to get a new brush. The shedding that my Men-U synthetic does is getting a bit tiresome.

I'm on a tight budget, so anything over £15 is out of the question. I know that brushes are a personal thing, pretty much like anything else to do with shaving. That said, I'm a fan of scrubby-type brushes.

I'm considering a Progress Vulfix 404. Has anyone had any experience with such a brush?

I had the 404 in pure badger - was almost black - and it was definitely scrubby. If you select the boar/badger combo version I'm sure it would be even "scrubbier". It was a pretty good all around brush, and in fact when I set up my son with a wet shaving kit, he chose that one. He had his pick of several "better" brushes but picked the 404.

Whipped Dog has a good selection of badger hair brushes. Fairly reasonable in price. Don't know what it would take to get it to the UK.
