I too recently picked one up for free using my Amazon points. Its the same 26mm knot with a shorter than is typical loft. It combines for a nice amount of backbone in spite of the fact that it is silver tip. Besides the handle, I'd put it on par with my Simpsons Persian Jar 3. The dimesions of the knot seem to be the same. And both brushes are densely packed with hairs. Its an awesome brush for the $0 I spent on it, but its an awesome brush for what they normally sell it for.
