Default epoxy in bristles of brush

    My shaving bros,
I epoxied a knot today into a beat up handle that I actually found in my moms attic. House was built by my family god knows when.. the handle was scratched and beat up.. when setting knot I got some epoxy on the bristles ..anything I can do to remove the epoxy without hurting the bristles .. can I soak it ??

I think you are doomed to cutting it out. What does the epoxy package say to use for clean up and what would that do to the knot ? Test it on a small piece you cut out.

Its at the base of the knot. In a lil area. The brush should still do its job correct ?? Or will affect its lathering?? Google search says to clean brush with white vinegar?? Then let dry?? Anyone thing vinegar will hurt the bristles ..

I was resetting a knot that fell out and I was using Gorilla Glue. I used a tad too much and the base has some areas that have the glue on the bristles. it may look unprofessional but it works just fine so I don't worry about it.

If it is not where it is in the way/irritating you when you lather then I would not give it a second thought.
I still have some of my first projects of all sorts and they remind me of how far I have come.

It gives a little "backbone" to your brush, Bart.
    Use it on soap pucks.

    No will not affect
    It's just bad looking,don't worry.

White vinegar is excellent for your knots
It's a "must" for me in the new and very good from time to time to dissolve any soap deposits.
