Heinrich L. Thater
I bought a Thater fine badger brush from SRD about a week ago and I love it. I am very impressed for under 40.00. It holds a lot of water/soap, is soft enough, but still has a good spine. It is the perfect graduation from the boar's hair brush I have been using for the last year. I use it with puck soaps and Musgo Real and it does a great job either way. There is nothing wrong with the boars hair brush (it gets the job done quite well) but there is a definate difference in the lather I can produce with this brush. It makes the shave a little more luxurious. I'm sure in the not too distant future I will explore the silvertips and other brushes, but for now this will satisfy the brush bug. Now if I could just get the RAD under control. Keep on wet shaving all!

Thater brushes are superb in every way. I don't know about Thater's pure or best grade. I use only their silvertips and love them all. I have four. Good stuff.
