Thanked: 3New brush is a big improvement
Here's a picture of what I have been using. This is what happens when your razor arrives and you're not fully prepared. Nice and practical with a good 37mm broad head. Note the 'pure bristles', I do have some standards. The photograph really doesn't do this fine example justice. I think the sepia tone is the issue, it just doesn't show up the rust spots. Was a real wife pleaser in the communal wash space I can tell you. But despite my strong emotional ties, it is my first brush after all, it was time for a change.
And here's what my lovely wife has switched me to (there's a moral to this story, I just know it...). Found gathering dust in a small independent pharmacy with an old price tag. Been there years according to the assistant; I think this counts as a rescue. First shave with it and loved the feel of working that lather into the face. Looks great on the shelf. Everyone's happy. Brilliant.

Apis,
And I thought Americans were masters of improvisation. Oh well, if the brush fits, shave with it.
On a more serious note...That's a beautiful Kent BK2. Congratulations on your new shaving brush acquisition. Its well-deserved.

Thanked: 1184At first I thought you were just going to put a new knot on the original handle. I'm a little disappointed but I do like the new one.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Well it is apparent from your post you favor smaller knots,
I was going to suggest this 5x15 horse hair model
It is just Whisker Whacking
Relax and Enjoy!
