I voted in-between. I like a loft somewhere around 46-47 mm. I think my favorite brush is my Simpson Classic #1 (22x46) the tips are really soft and I think the loft is a little longer than a typical Classic #1. I have a Chubby #1 (23.5x46.5) that isn't scratchy but more like "scrubby" and I like it but the Classic #1 feels better on my face. I'm also breaking in a Simpson Tulip (21.5x47), very soft tips, it might be my new favorite but I got to wait and see.

I did not see a suitable answer in the poll, so I didn't vote.

I like in-between and occasionally boar.

I am building my collection with a wide range of brushes although the majority and best are Simpsons. I went with I don't care as long as it is quality as I enjoy the ranges of performance and ability to excel using almost any cream or soap. Love badger, enjoy several horses, still on the market for a boar with the right handle.
