Default Which brush? Chubby 1, Classic 2, or Duke 3

    Hello, everybody!

Can yall help me decide between these three brushes? The specs look pretty similar, but don't account for knot density. I'm looking for a cornerstone brush - something standard, classic, for daily use, against which to measure other brushes. For reference, I mostly face lather with hard soaps. I'd greatly appreciate any perspective you can offer regarding comparisons between the brushes and how they'll differ in feel & performance.

    Best,
    Alex

I've owned all three at one time or another and preferred the Duke 3. The only thing I can think of that would be better would be a Chubby 2.

What hair are you looking to get. My two favorite Simpsons hair is best badger and 2-band super.

    Thanks, Johnny!

    I'm looking at best.

Why did you prefer the Duke 3? And why would a Chubby 2 be better?

The Duke 3 in best badger is just a great all round brush. It works well with hard soaps, soft soaps, and creams. It works well with bowl or face lathering. I like the Chubby 2 just because I like the way it feels in my hand. A good substantial brush but probably better suited for face lathering.

Simpsons best badger is hard to beat.

Have any of yall had experience with the Classic? No votes for it so far, but based on pictures from the Superior Shave it looks like it's more densely packed than the Duke, and may be a good compromise between Duke & Chubby. Thoughts?

Duke ordered, per the recommendation of the fine folks at Progress Vulfix.
