    Default Brush Comb

I was watching a themtube video on brush making and the worker was constantly using a comb to straighten and fluff the hair. I like the idea of using a comb after use to separate and fluff the badger hair. Anyone know of a comb that is ideal for this purpose?

Do you think that is necessary? I find just a quick fluff with the hands when dry puts it back in order. I've never had a brush kink and a comb could put undue pressure on the knot.

As far as I know brush makers comb the knot to get (most of) the loose hairs out. Once you have a finished brush, this should not be an issue and combing it would do harm rather than good, if it would do anything at all. I think it's part of the manufacturing process rather than regular upkeep.

Thank you for saying this. Some years ago I read a suggestion to use a comb To straighten the bristles on a brush that had been dried. My Vulfix has been loosing 3 to 5 hairs per use and I was blaming the brush not its owner!
