Thanked: 13245Custom Elk Antler Brushes
These are two that I just finished up..
The Elk antler was from an Imperial Bull Elk as this piece had 7 points which made it large enough for the huge 28mm Knots set at about 53-54 mm of loft..
There are 3 of these total all with 28mm Grade A overstuffed knots from TGN, all three were made to order for John, Mike, and Tony.
These first two have lined bases
Brass lined Green Malachite base:
Silver lined Pearl acrylic base:
Last one is still drying will get the pics up later of that one..

Very nice G. The lined bases + antler = refined + rustic.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 13245And the last one of the bunch..
Same 28mm knot and settings as above but John wanted a larger handle and no base on his..
I used the heavy part of the main beam of the antler which gives it plenty to hang onto and really move to lather around the base end is sealed with clear epoxy so that the antler doesn't wick up water...
Thanks for looking

Thanked: 13245One more
Another one, although this comes from one of the brow points, that was still big enough to handle a 26mm Super Fan Badger knot
Built to spec for Keith and set at 52-53mm of loft with a 120mm OAL..
Base is Brass lined Malachite
Once again thanks for looking
