Thanked: 4249The Indestructible, Everlasting, Brush travel Case.
Some recent work related traveling made me want to get a proper case for my take along shaving brush. Didnt really want to buy a real travel brush, since i allready have quite a few brushes that i really like.
Just happen that i had some PVC left over from a house project, remember reading on here about a PVC brush case but never seen any pics. So i drilled some holes on the 2 end caps, used sandpaper to remove the raise letters of the manufacturer.
Cut a piece of 1 1/2 pipe to fit, and made sure all my brushes would fit correctly. Put the 3 pieces together, and didnt even have to glue 1 cap on since the fit is really tight. That way without gluing i dont have to pull the brush out by the hair but from the handle.
Now im able to take along any brush i want, and all made from remnants that i allready had around.

Great home made solution to a problem. I just love ingenuity! There are thousands of inept males out here that would cut themselves before they could cut the wood or PVC. Make up a few, maybe of different lengths for slightly different length brushes. Post them on etsy and watch your mad money account swell! With Christmas coming, advertise it as a stocking stuffer for the man that uses shaving bushes. The wives will add o your finances for such an easy solution to gift giving. I steal your idea but one, I hardly travel anymore, and two, I'm among the self-cutters.

If traveling by air I might not take the PVC case, while it looks wonderful the TSA might think it is something else! Great job on both cases!
