I think it is badger... Not sure... I will definitely try it and see how it feels... The hairs look brand new and i think that is rare to find in those conditions

Thanked: 1184Very nice buy. I am betting boar though. The hairs look kind of thick from here. Does it feel kind of stiff ? Do you have other brushes to compare it to?

Yea, it looks like boar also. Brushes like that are pretty common. Many were sold in non descript sets with bowls and came with all kinds of designs on them.

I am 99% sure is boar! I compared it to my badger and feels and looks different! Plus it soaks completely not like badger... The hairs are a bit too soft and long for my liking ... I like it when its bit more prickly i guess but it created an awesome lather... In the future i might change the knot to badger since thats what i am use to and prefer

Indeed! While i was researching it i found many pics of the set that came with a mug... Most pics that i saw the porcelain was blue with gold details... Now i just need to find the mug to complete the set.
I will be using this brush here and there... It is really soft and the loft is really high ... I rather use the opposite but sometimes is nice to have options!

Thanked: 1184You may like it best for creams instead of pucks. I have a boar that is as long as a pony tail but it sure whips up the cream to a lather. It is a mop on the face but with cream your just painting on the lather anyway.

It looks to be a small one. About 20 mm? Get the finest (2 band) or the grade A silvertip from TGN and replace it if it does not work.
Interestingly, some old knots work great with cleaning/conditioning!
Give it a try!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.
