    Default Amadeus The Brush

I listen to classical music as I work and really appreciate the strains of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. As I was perusing Ebay a while back, I did the big no-no.
I looked at "seller's other items" and snagged a sterling Mozart lapel pin for a reasonable sum. I have a brush I put a medallion on the handle's end so I figured to make a Mozart brush. I had a wooden handle, short and squat, from an old neck duster and had the idea to use a sterling napkin ring as a barrel. I soon found that napkin rings are much larger than the 30mm I required. Madness insued!
I obtained a Sterling napkin ring with an Austrian hallmark of Diana(by way of Israel!) and set about getting it resized. I finally found a jeweler who resized it, cut off the pin and stanchions from the lapel pin and soldered a threaded fitment to the back of it to attatch it to the handle. I was about to paint the handle and proceed and I thought of our own Pixelfixed who joined up and duplicated my stubby wooden handle in ebony, capped with ivory(Thanks Bill!!!!).
A 28mm Finest badger from TGN was Gooped to the ring and the medallion fixed to the handle and finally it was epoxied together.
I dig the outcome and am especially glad Bill gave this project exactly what it needed! Ebony and Ivory!
    I present Amadeus, The Brush!
