    Default Rubberset restore

Received this from my grandfather from his wet shaving collection. Nothing too serious, sanded down and buffed, the original knot had seen better days, so I gave it a new 20mm TGN super silvertip set at 55mm. Enjoy.

Nice work! That one screams art-deco!

Very nice. Heirlooms are the best. Use it in good health.

Does it say Meakins on the bottom????

I have the exact same handle sitting here, and it reads Meakins on the bottom. I can't decide what kind of knot I want to put in mine.

No Meakins, all mine has is "Sterilized Rubberset, trademark, Made in Canada"

I'm very happy with the 20/55 set, I am primarily a bowl latherer though.

Andrew, I gave the HMW knot a break in lather tonight, and am very pleased with it. It whipped up soap and cream very well, lots of backbone for a smaller knot.
