    Default TGN premium silvertip grades

Hello all, I'm trying to find a knot that is just a little bit softer than my TGN grade A silvertip. My question is this: has anyone bought any of the super silvertip or the premium silvertip? The descriptions are pretty much the same...

Well, in your own words, what would you say the differences would be between the Grade A and the Super and Premium above it Bill?

I've emailed TGN looking for advice but have yet to hear back from them...hence the thread.

I really like my Grade A, don't get me wrong, especially for soaps (my omega boar hasn't seen use in ages because of it). I just find it to be a tad lacking in softness...not that I notice all that much when actually lathering, I'm probably just splitting hairs (no pun intended).

You are splitting hairs, the entire grading of knots is a conundrum to me, and may not have alot of Validity.
Your dealing with natural animal products so I do not think the grading system is an exact science.
TGNs grade A Knots are some of the finest at the price point,The HMWs are a step up IMO, the tips are a bit softer and whiter, what doe's this mean?? also are other variables such as loft setting.
You need to use diff knots at diff lofts to tell the diff.

Interestingly enough, the premium and super silvertips are both the same price as the Grade A. I just wanna know the difference :c lol

For the price jump...are the HMW even worth it?

Give me 4 months and I'll tell you the difference between a grade A and the HMW. . I have a 24mm HMW I bought for myself. Just need to turn a handle for it. I'm just too busy with Christmas gifts right now to do anything for myself.

There's got to be a difference between these grades, otherwise they wouldn't have them. Maybe I'll just buy one of each
